2Across is just another iPhone app, essentially a simple crossword puzzle. The good thing about it is that it's the same thing as Crosswords but much cheaper.Download crosswords from the web and let them be solved so you'll always have a supply of crosswords with you wherever you are.

The good
- Crosswords are easy to read in a small size compared to Crossword.
- Different levels of clues, one letter, one word, or the entire grid.
- "Pencil" mode for aspaninaring several letters.
The bad
- The keyboard used is the standard iPhone keyboard, which unfortunately takes up a large portion of the screen, making the crossword puzzle appear darker. In contrast, Crosswords has a custom keyboard specifically for crosswords that is much smaller, which I find to be better.
- There is only a vertical view. The application does not rotate to a horizontal view.
While 2 Across is a perfectly capable application, I think Crosswords is better because it has many more views and a much smaller keyboard which, in my opinion, makes solving crosswords easier. But after playing with 2 Across, I can say that you have nothing to lose! So if you prefer to save a few dollars, 2 Across is fine.
