The new tvOS 9.1 update will arrive automatically on your Apple TV; if it doesn't, you can update manually by going to Settings > System > Updates. The waiting time will depend on the load on Apple's servers, so it may take longer or faster for some users.

Some Apple users have reported that the update is not yet available, which is a common occurrence given how recently it was released. However, the update could arrive at any time today.
