On this day, Apple  Apple has released its fourth batch of developer betas for its main operating systems. The release includes the fourth beta versions of iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3 for the Apple Watch, and tvOS 10 for the Apple TV.

The new versions arrive two weeks after the third batch of betas was released. These versions appear to bring nothing new to the corresponding operating systems, as the changelogs indicate that the updates contain improvements and bug fixes.

The updates are now available for download via the update mechanism on your respective devices, or through the Apple Developer Portal. The new builds are identified as:

  • MacOS Sierra beta 4 (16A270f)
  • iOS 10 beta 4 (14A5322e)
  • Watch 3 beta 4 (14S5302d)
  • TvOS 10 beta 4 (14T5308d)

As always, Apple warns that beta versions should only be deployed on devices dedicated to beta software development.

iOS 10, macOS Sierra, tvOS 10, and watchOS 3 are scheduled for public release this quarter, likely in late September, around the time the new iPhones are expected to launch. Users can also choose to try early versions of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra through Apple's public beta program.

macOS Sierra will bring a variety of improvements, including deep Siri support and cloud-based file management features. Other minor details included in the new operating system for Macs are Auto Unlock via Apple Watch.

On the other hand, iOS 10 includes significant improvements to the notification function, support for third-party applications in Siri, and updates for applications such as Messages, Maps, and Photos.

Finally, watchOS 3 offers features such as faster loading for apps and control center functions, among other things.
