Speed up your iPhone & iPod Touch by removing language packs
Hello iPhone enthusiast, as the title says, in this post you'll find a very useful utility that removes unnecessary language packs (French, Chinese, etc.) to speed up your iDevice. The package is a .sh file that you install in /var/mobile and run via Mobile Terminal. Compatible with iOS 4.
I will explain in more detail below.
Requirements:

The application is in English, but it's still very easy to use. When you run it, it asks you which language to delete. You just enter Y or N, and then it gives you a summary of what will be deleted, and that's it… (Don't worry, if you make a mistake, you can restore it. As long as you delete all languages, English will remain as the last language on the device.)

Below are the most concise instructions in Spanish to help you:
- First, take the sinfullangpack.sh file and place it in the following path: "/Var/Mobile". Make sure the permissions are set to 755 (if you don't know how, like me, go to the file (using iFile), open it, and look at the bottom for "owners/users" and select everything as shown below).
If the permissions are incorrect, you might see a message like the following when you run the program:
- After correctly setting the permissions, close the SSH or iFile client and open Mobile Terminal. Enter the following command.

ALPINE (if you changed your password, enter the new one, press enter)
./sinfullangpack.sh (press enter)
- ALPINE That's your password; if you changed it, enter yours. So, type SU, it will ask for your password, enter alpine or your password, and then ./sinfullangpack.sh and that's it, the script will run. Now just follow the on-screen instructions. If you don't understand them, let me know and I'll prepare a tutorial for each screen.
The program will show you language packs that you want to delete. In the case of the last image, it is asking if you want to delete the Danish language, and you can press Y (yes) or N (no). Here you can decide which languages you will not use.
Finally, it presents you with a list of the languages you decided to delete, and you accept or decline if you made a mistake in any of them.
In my case, the last one says "Cancel" because I don't want to delete it, but when it asks for confirmation, you press "Y" and it starts deleting...
