iOS 8 Notes now allows you to insert images

We all know that the default Notes app on our smartphones and tablets isn't much to write home about compared to services like Evernote. However, some people prefer the simplicity of this app and avoid having to sign up for other services. And now, to add a little something extra to the operating system, the Notes app can insert images.

While it's not groundbreaking, this can be useful when you want to mark a particular spot and add a note underneath. Plus, considering this note syncs with other Apple devices, it ends up being a pretty decent option.

But this isn't the only new feature the Notes app brings, although this one is available for OS X. The Notes app for Apple desktop and laptop computers lets you add bold, italics, and underline to your text.

It's a shame this option isn't available for iPhone and iPad as well, but it was probably discarded because it might make the tool less simple if we have to select a portion of the text to do it. Besides, on a smartphone screen, not having bold or italics isn't such a big deal.
