The App Store has a new section dedicated to Earth Day

Earth Day will be celebrated on April 22nd (tomorrow), but Apple didn't want to wait any longer and has launched what they had surely been preparing for some days: a new section alluding to the environment from the App Store.

With this idea, the company once again shares its commitment and responsibility to the environment, which it has been strongly promoting for years, a mission in which it has recently stood out by purchasing large hectares of forests and building green buildings.

The new section, called Earth Day 2015, highlights content from various categories that is most closely related to the planet, from movies and documentaries to apps. The company reaffirms its commitment to creating the best products in the world and its purpose of making them better for the world.

Among the content that users can explore in this new section, which we don't know if it will be temporary, are the films " March of the Penguins " (documentary) and Avatar (2009); the book Urban Homestead , the Paperless Post and Evernote Scannable applications , and many digital editions of National Geographic magazine.

Yesterday, Apple also released a short video showing its commitment to improving and leaving a better planet for future generations.
