Apple brings us a new iWork update

Apple released a new update to the iWork application packages . The recent update, which targets the iOS and Mac applications, according to its release notes, will resolve some connection errors that iWork presented, as well as improve some problems in the application.

One of the main problems with iWork was related to document compatibility with Microsoft Office. Although Apple's "Pages" does not use DOC files by default, it never posed a problem for opening Office documents; however, problems arose when sending a document from iWork to a user who uses Microsoft Office.

The recent update released today by Apple promises to resolve some of those compatibility issues with Microsoft . The improvements not only focus on compatibility but also address other important aspects of iWork.

Among the updates, the iOS version of Numbers received fixes to resolve an issue that prevented users from opening the latest saved version of some documents. In the previous version, Keynote also had some problems opening documents containing a large number of images; this issue was also resolved in the new update.

Although the new update focused on resolving several problems, unfortunately for Mac's "Pages" there is still no solution regarding the issues that prevent the user from looking up the meaning of a word while it is in a list.

For users already using iWork applications, the latest update is free; however, new users wishing to purchase the latest version will need to pay $19.99 for the Mac platform, while the iOS version will cost $9.99.
