Apple announces watchOS, the new operating system for the Apple Watch

Apple's WWDC 2015 has already begun , and among the new features the company announced today is the new version of its watchOS operating system for the Apple Watch.

And basically what Tim Cook revealed about this new system is that it comes to offer support for the new applications that will be included in the innovative Apple Watch.

watchOS, as we have indicated, is the name that the new operating system will finally have , and which will run on Apple's first smartwatch.

It features a redesigned interface, offering developers tools that can be used to get the most out of the Apple Watch hardware . These new features include its sensors and heart rate monitor.

Currently, one of the apps that has truly taken advantage of the Apple Watch OS is Apple Maps and Mail . And it's expected that, like other developers, this new system will give them more time to create faster and smarter apps for the Apple Watch ; a watch, as Cook rightly points out, "that's going to change the world."
