Apple is one of the 50 "greenest" companies of 2015

One of Apple's main missions is to deliver the best product in the world, and for the world in terms of the type of materials used, which are environmentally friendly. It's not just about showing off with its new environmental section in the App Store ; the company's commitment is also to improving the lives of users worldwide in every way possible.

For this reason, and as expected, a massive survey of over 36 people ranked Apple among the 50 " greenest " companies or brands in the world. As we can see, it's not just a small sample of users that allows us to draw such important conclusions.

The data published by Forbes , which has often given special mentions to Tim Cook and Apple in general, has included a large list of different companies, although they have not been compared to each other since they operate in different categories.

Apple is joined by others such as Dell , Epson, Amazon, Acer, IBM , Samsung, Canon, Brother, etc. Other companies somewhat outside the technology industry that are on the list include Walmart, American Airlines, Adidas, and Coca-Cola.

The mention coincides with the arrival of Earth Day , which Apple has been promoting in advance through its website, stores around the world, and even by dressing its employees in commemorative T-shirts. Tim Cook's tweet commemorating this special day was also a must.

The top 5 greenest brands in the world (as chosen by users) are Acer, Adidas, Air Canada, Amazon, and Apple. This is clearly an alphabetical list, as it doesn't highlight the industry in which each brand operates.
