Apple removes first generation iPad Mini from its website and online stores

This event will surely surprise more than one person, but considering that Apple is currently innovating with a new generation of devices, this was news that was expected.

Apple has removed the first-generation iPad Mini from its website and online store. The reasons? We don't know yet, but we have our guesses; but the smallest of Apple's 7.9-inch tablets , first introduced in October 2012.

The first-generation iPad Mini had similar specifications to the iPad 2 , including an A5 processor, 1 GHz and 512 MB of RAM.

Focusing on one small feature that would lead to its removal from Apple's website and online store , this first device lacked a Retina display. Its price of $249 wasn't a great deal for the average user, considering the iPad Mini 2 cost $299 and boasted a Retina display, an A7 processor, quad-core graphics, and 1.3GHz of RAM.

However, the iPad Mini can still be found in the Apple Store for $209; but as we already mentioned, we recommend that you opt for an iPad Mini 2 for $249 . This, as we also mentioned, should be purchased through official Apple stores.
