Apple will finally sell products through retailers in the Middle East

Apple had not yet had an official retail presence of any kind in the Middle East, until now . Thanks to a successful agreement with Jarir Bookstore, Apple will now be selling its products directly in Saudi Arabia.

Apple has reached an agreement for its sale in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian government clarified that Apple will be able to operate in the country for a few months. The agreement reached with Jarir will see Apple working with Saudi Arabia, one of the country's largest retailers of books and electronics.

In the past, Jarir had to go through third-party vendors to get his hands on Apple products and sometimes had to wait three to six months to receive them. Apple will not only supply Jarir directly, but will also be able to sell Apple hardware at lower prices now that it doesn't have to buy it from third parties , avoiding unnecessary costs.

Apple opened its iTunes Store in the Middle East for the first time in December 2012. It was reported that Apple attempted to open its first Middle Eastern retail store in Dubai in 2011 , but the project fell through due to a lack of agreement.

Tim Cook visited the United Arab Emirates earlier this year to discuss how Apple could improve its relationships with carriers in neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Nigeria, in order to increase sales and generate more revenue.

To quote Tim Cook, he said: "We're making great products that people don't know they need today, but once they have them, they can't live without them." "We want to bring the company's passion to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Africa."
