Apple releases Safari 6 and updates iWork to be compatible with OS X Mountain Lion and the Retina display

The release of Mountain Lion brings with it all sorts of new features. Lion has already been removed from the Mac App Store , and now Apple is launching Safari 6. The browser comes pre-installed with the latest version of Apple's operating system (offering iCloud tabs, support for the Chinese search engine Baidu, and greater HTML5 compatibility , among other new features), but it can also be downloaded on computers running OS X 10.7 and later to enjoy some of its features.

 

You'll be able to use the Reading List feature offline or access the new smart search field. To do this, simply check for system updates and install the new software. 

 

Similarly, Apple hasn't abandoned iWork , which has also received an update to better support the arrival of Mountain Lion . Pages, Keynote, and Numbers are now compatible with OS X 10.8's voice dictation, sync with iCloud , and will be even more effective when used on the Retina displays of the new MacBook Pro .
