Apple patents solar power for its MacBooks

Continuing with the topic of solar energy, at this moment we will talk about an important patent that Apple has acquired, in relation to its Macbook.

We know that battery life in Apple devices , and those of other companies, is a growing concern for all technology manufacturers. Therefore, this key feature is increasingly demanded by users when choosing and purchasing their devices, computers, laptops, and so on.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Apple is considering implementing a battery with photovoltaic cells to power its devices with solar energy.

The patent, as specified, has as its main objective extending the battery life of devices. This new system, comprised of double-sided photovoltaic panels with electrochromic glass or Smartglass , aims to provide additional solar power to Apple laptops.

If this process and its components are improved, we would be talking not only about a major advancement in current technology , but also about one of the first eco-innovative products in the world. Thanks to electromagnetic radiation and some added technologies, it would be possible to generate between 100 milliwatts and over 1 watt of energy, enough to power laptops using only sunlight.

We hope Apple develops this technology at some point, as it seems to be generating buzz worldwide. We believe that if this patent is implemented in the new MacBooks , the company would not only gain a significant advantage over other computers, but would also achieve a more responsible approach to environmental protection.
