The reality is that despite this reduction, Cupertino is aiming for more. They've applied for a patent for a system that would solve the problem at its root. This system involves temporary, disposable email addresses that function as aliases but are linked to a main account that isn't visible and can be used for registrations, interactions with companies, and other matters requiring enhanced security.
