Apple asks developers to submit apps for OS X Yosemite
Everything is coming together for the official unveiling of OS X Yosemite in the coming days . We say this because Apple sent an important email to its Mac OS X developers just a few hours ago.
Where, through this aforementioned email, the company has requested the respective update of its applications, which will be included in the new version of Yosemite.
It's worth remembering that the latest version Yosemite released a few days ago was the Golden Master update. This version arrived with improvements very similar to the third beta of Developer Preview 8 , and some of these new features focused on improving the design and appearance of the new operating system, including new icons and a more user-friendly interface.
On the other hand, and something that has caught our attention, is the emphasis the company has placed on the advantages and new features that its developers saw at the recent WWDC 2014 event . Consequently, Apple plans to ask its developers to take advantage of the new features presented in OS X Yosemite to improve their applications.
The message is clear and concise, which translated into Spanish more or less tells us that:
"Developers should ensure they implement all the new features of OS X Yosemite in each of their applications, as these features will be available to millions of customers worldwide later this fall."
The company is also requesting that users add powerful new functionality to their applications to ensure compatibility with OS X Yosemite . They are also asked to include application extensions using the innovative new programming language Swift and to take advantage of new technologies such as gaming, Safari, iCloud , and more.
And finally , Apple concludes by asking its developers to prepare their applications for the Mac App Store, using the latest available versions such as OS X Yosemite GM and Xcode 6.1 GM from the Mac Developer Center.
With these latest releases, it could be said that the company has the final version of Swift ready, and is only waiting for the applications that will soon be published on the Mac App Store.
