Apple loses to Samsung in the USA and faces a possible ban
Samsung has won a lawsuit against Apple , which could grant the South Korean company a sales ban in North America. This appears to indicate that Apple infringed on one of Samsung's patents , meaning some Apple products could be pulled from the market to prevent their sale in the United States.
It appears Apple will not be able to sell the following products within United States (only on versions sold with AT&T):
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- iPad 3G
- Pad 2 (3G version)
This ban, unlike others that have been issued, is almost final, as only the White House or a Federal Court could overturn the sales injunction against Apple, leaving the American company with little recourse. The patent relates to 3G network connectivity . This injunction is the result of an ongoing battle between the two companies to enforce their respective patents.
