Patents carry many risks. While in Europe only has physical systems; in other parts of the world there are many more. such as software patents which allow you to register code, workflows and even ideas that will be carried out in the future, near, far or even that will not be created. Apple has come across one of these patents in China, where it recently lost a lawsuit over its Siri technology.which is built into all your devices with updated iOS.

The trial that finds Apple guilty, before Zhizhen

As reported when Apple introduced its groundbreaking Siri system in 2012, There was already a Chinese company called Zhizhen Network Technology that developed a very similar assistant called "Xiao i Robot".As expected, the Asian company took action and sued Apple for patent infringement, which Apple requested that it be canceled because, "they were unaware that this Zhizhen assistant existed."

Apple, Siri trial

The law, after a while The court ultimately issued a verdict that favored the Chinese company, as the patent had been violated by Apple. Therefore, if Apple wants its devices to continue supporting the Siri assistant... Apple will have to hold negotiations with the Chinese company to reach an agreement that benefits both parties, and if no agreement is reached, Apple will have to remove Siri from its devices. And you already know these agreements between large companies; they usually end with huge money transactions between bank accounts, in order to satisfy the other company and be able to continue using this assistant system.

It is expected that Apple will stand firm and reach an agreement to continue keeping Siri on its iPhones, as it was well received at launch.
