Apple testing iOS 7.1.1

For many of Apple's more demanding followers, myself included, some of the bugs that plagued the launch of iOS 7.1 are unacceptable for an operating system that has been on the market for years and boasts of being by far the best, both in design and functionality. Apple has been trying to fix these issues from various angles, which is why we're currently seeing them testing for potential errors in iOS 7.1.1.

The image you saw above speaks to, or is proof of, this. This contribution or discovery was made by the folks at 9to5Mac, who have seen a considerable increase in visits from devices claiming to be running iOS 7.1.1 . This leads us to believe that Apple has deployed its testers to see how this new update performs on the web. However, few other details have been leaked on the subject so far.

For many of us who are waiting for a jailbreak, this could be somewhat good news, since a jailbreak might not be released until iOS 8, as it's confirmed that there won't be one for iOS 7.1. However, considering that iOS 7.1 was released to the general public on March 10th, and that complaints have been higher than usual, precisely because of network connection issues, Wi-Fi problems, slow speeds, and other factors related to app adaptation to the size change from the iPhone 4s to the iPhone 5 or 5s; we could see in the previous graph an attempt by Apple to work at full speed on iOS 7.1.1 to definitively fix some of these errors that so frustrate some of the company's fans and regular users.

On the other hand, we could consider this a normal phase or stage in Apple's development of a possible new iOS 7.1.1 version, which is still a few weeks away from release, but which has been undergoing navigation tests in recent days. In any case, an official confirmation is expected soon, and if it is released, expect the details here.
