Apple rejects apps that reward sharing on social media
As we know, Apple has a very strict policy regarding what is done in its App Store and what its apps do, and the arrival of iOS 8 is causing new rules with penalties to be implemented.
It appears that Cook & Co. is trying to suppress apps that reward users for inviting more people through social media or by watching advertising videos , granting them credits or other benefits that can be used in the app.
Several developers have reported that their apps have been rejected by Apple – where the changes have only affected the interface, as they promote apps that aren't their own and promote them through social sharing. These are all very common issues, and Apple's actions will have a significant impact on app developers , who will have to change their applications.
Last week, Apple unveiled new App Store features that make it easier to search within app categories and subcategories, and this may be a strategy to curb cross-promotion by app developers. Currently, it's unclear how strict Apple's policies will be or how penalties will be enforced.
This is because Apple will be revamping its image and avoiding these types of apps, which Apple apparently doesn't want in its store because they tarnish the company's image. It will be a difficult task for the company since these types of apps are everywhere and this method of advertising is very common, but hopefully Apple will clean up its App Store with this purge and achieve its goal, although it may have problems with these measures since some developers may question whether or not to remain on the App Store.
