Apple becomes the most valuable company in the world for a few hours

Apple doesn't understand crises or "Black Mondays." Until a few hours ago, the oil giant ExxonMobil dominated the world as the most valuable company, but Apple overtook it, snatching the top spot. Shortly after, it was back in a tie with ExxonMobil.

However, Apple has an advantage during this crisis, as sectors like energy are being hit harder. Similarly, Mobile World Congress has been closing the last few trading days with the same results, while Apple continues to grow. Paisarroja provides more details on the figures:

“(…) shortly after seven in the evening, the computer company surpassed $340.000 billion at the same time that the oil company fell below that mark. After that, both remained at very similar levels, with Exxon regaining its leading position: $340.800 billion compared to Apple's $340.400 billion.”

Furthermore, Apple's latest newsletters confirm that they have a higher profit margin than the United States government. Surprising, isn't it?

Thus, Apple continues to close the gap with Exxon Mobile at a rapid pace.
