AT&T confirms it will lock iPads after SIM card activation.

The response from the US giant was nothing more than pure whim , or so we could interpret it, given their explicit statement, " We simply decided to do it this way ." Apple, for its part, seems determined to change the technology or services offered by carriers to give users more flexibility ; however, it appears the carriers' battle to lock users into their networks will continue.
