BlackBerry Messenger will arrive on iOS between June and September

The Canadian-based company has officially announced that BlackBerry Messenger, one of its most highly rated proprietary applications among smartphone users , will arrive on Android and iOS this summer, that is, between June and September.

 

Thanks to this launch, the doors are opened to cross-platform messaging between terminals based on any of the three operating systems, although, of course, to enjoy it we will need to have Android 4.0 or iOS 6, since it will not be compatible with lower versions.

The BBM app will offer a complete experience on the new platforms and won't be limited compared to the BlackBerry app. Initially, we'll be able to create group chats or talk to our contacts; but later on, they also promise voice calls, screen sharing, and channels.

At the moment we don't know if there will be any problems with the App Store approval of this application , but we don't think there will be any conflict, since there are already several instant messaging applications available in the Apple app store.

 

You will need at least iOS 6 or Android 4.0 to enjoy Blackberry Messenger , so the many users still stuck on Android 2.3 with low-end phones, or iPhone 3G users, will not be able to enjoy this instant messaging application.
