Comex and the jailbreak for iOS 4.1
Hello iPhone users, While the official launch of iOS 4,1 is scheduled for this week, ComexThe developer of the Spirit tools and JailbreakMe.com said he had found two flaws that would make it easier to jailbreak this firmware.
One of these two flaws would lead to a jailbreak of the type Userland (like Jailbreakme), meaning that the vulnerability would reside in iOS itself through a bug (system hole). The advantage of this type of defect is that it is compatible with all devicesBut it can be easily fixed with an iOS update, as we have unfortunately been able to verify.
The second failure It involves a defect in the boot ROMTo block this potential error, Apple would update the Device BootroomThis isn't so simple to do, as it requires more than just an iOS update. The downside is that this type of jailbreak isn't compatible with all devices. Remember, there are still many users stuck on the emergency screen, specifically those iPhone 3GS owners with the so-called new bootrom.
It only remains to wait.
