How do I remove a contact from the Share menu on my iPhone?
Whenever you want to share a photo, a link, or any other file on your iPhone, you'll notice that the iPhone presents you with a list of suggested contacts for sharing data.
Often, these sharing suggestions are helpful, and they involve people you communicate with regularly. But sometimes a contact appears that you don't want to see, or with whom you don't want to share things.
That's why today we're going to show you how to remove someone you don't want to appear in the sharing suggestions menu on your iPhone or iPad. So let's get started:
How do I remove specific contacts from the shared list on my iPhone?
- Go to the Photos app, and tap on any image.
- Then click the Share button
as usual.
- Locate the contact/person you want to remove from the suggested sharing list.
- Now tap and hold the name and icon of that contact/person. Then, select "Suggest less" using the thumbs-down icon.
Remember to repeat the process with other contacts/people you wish to remove from the sharing suggestions list.
IMPORTANT:
If you want to share information with that deleted person, you'll need to do it manually by selecting the app and finding their contact or name. For example, select the "Messages" app, and then manually search for the person's name.
