Hello iPhone user! Well, it seems many people want to restore their iOS device with the ECID saved. Here are the steps; please follow them carefully and you will get the desired results.

Requirements:

1. We made sure that we had saved the SHSH BLOBS We can see it on the Cydia home screen.

2.- Once we have verified that we have our SHSH saved we can continue, we can also have it saved on our computer when using TinyUmbrella 4.01.07.

3.- Now we go to the path C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc in Windows, on Mac we can run Finder and look for the path /etc.

4.-Several files will appear; the ones we will use are the two hosts. We will notice that there is a host called Umbrella and the other is the normal host.

5.- We open the Umbrella one and write this script 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com at the end, we save the changes, now we replace the normal host with the Umbrella one with the modified text.

6.-Well, when we are restoring the iPhone to a previous version, we will get error 1015. Well, that's the best error. For that, you will have to have FIX 1015 and RECBOOT open.

7.-Once the error appears, we will press the fix 1015 button and then immediately exit Recovery with RECBOOT, the iPhone will restart and that's it.

This works on both legal and illegal iPhones, but do not downgrade illegal 3GS phones as it will be locked because it will not have the original SIM card to activate it.

One thing I forgot to mention: if the restore process gets stuck halfway through or freezes, it's because you have WiFiSync installed on your PC. Please uninstall it and it should work.
