Downgrade iOS 4.3 to any earlier version for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch
Hey iPhone user! If you updated to iOS 4.3 and realized it wasn't what you expected, or if you simply want to revert to a previous version, this tutorial is for you. This video will teach you how to downgrade your device, provided you've saved your SHSH blob from the version you want to revert to, using Tiny Umbrella. This procedure works on all generations of iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. We've also included some solutions to common iTunes errors during the restore process, so if you've had trouble restoring, you can check the common iTunes errors section in this tutorial.
Requirements:
- Have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with iOS 4.3.
- Download the iOS version you want to revert to: https://iphoneate.com/firmware-ipad-iphone-ipod-touch/
- Have iTunes 10 or higher.
- You should have saved your SHSH blobs from Cydia. To check if you saved them, you can do so from Tiny Umbrella: open the program, connect your device, and click "Save SHSH." The process may take a few minutes. Keep in mind that if you've never jailbroken your device before, there's nothing to save. Also, remember that if you didn't save your SHSH blobs from Cydia when you jailbroken your device, Tiny Umbrella won't have anything to save either.

How do I know if I saved my SHSH blobs?
This is the image that indicates you have SHSH blobs saved from Cydia:
Tiny Umbrella only saves SHSH blobs that you've saved from Cydia and those supported by the Tiny Umbrella version. This means that when you save your SHSH blobs, you'll see a list like this, since the new version of Tiny Umbrella now also supports saving iOS 4.3 SHSH blobs even if you've never installed it:
This list indicates the versions you can downgrade to; in this example, I can only go back to version 4.2.1, since the other versions are higher.
Once we know whether or not we can downgrade, after investigating using the method explained earlier if we have SHSH blobs, we can proceed with the downgrade itself. The video explains that we should first check the Tiny Umbrella section in the Advanced settings. If all the boxes are enabled, enable them; if not, enable them, and then click "Apply Changes" to save the changes. This is how the Tiny Umbrella section should look before starting the restoration.
How to downgrade?
1. Taking the above into account, you must open Tiny Umbrella and connect our device to the computer.
2. Click on the Start TSS Server button (iTunes will close automatically)
3. Open iTunes and click SHIFT + Restore on Windows (it is not necessary to put the device in recovery mode). On Mac it is Alt + Restore.
4.- A window will open where we must select the iOS version we want to revert to.
5. Start the restoration. (NOTE THAT TINY UMBRELLA NEVER SHUTS DOWN; THE START TSS SERVER BUTTON CIRCLE IS ALWAYS RUNNING, AND YOU SHOULD NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS).
6.- If everything went well, the device has been restored and you can now go to Tiny Umbrella and press Stop TSS Server.
7. After completing your restoration, make sure to uncheck Tiny Umbrella in the Advanced section, the second option, and apply the changes. This is how the Tiny Umbrella options should look after you've finished the restoration:
This is to prevent you from having restoration problems when you want to go back to iOS 4.3.
I followed the procedure, but after the iTunes restoration finished, it gave me error 1014 or 1015 and my device is stuck in recovery mode (USB cable and iTunes logo).
If your device did not finish the restoration and sent an error 1014 or 1015 upon completion and is stuck in recovery mode, we have two solutions.
1. After iTunes displays the error message, click OK, then go to Tiny Umbrella, click Stop TSS Server if you haven't already, and then with the device connected, press the Exit Recovery button as shown in the image:
Wait for your device to restart and the problem should be resolved.
2. If you performed the previous step but your device is still in recovery mode, you can try the second option: put your device into dfu mode. If you don't know how:
Once in dfu mode, go to Tiny Umbrella and press the Fix Recovery button, which appears in the following image:
This should solve the problem; the device will restart and the restoration should be complete.
I want to restore to iOS 4.3 but I'm getting error 3194 in iTunes. What should I do?
Normally, if your device supports iOS 4.3, you shouldn't have any problems restoring to this iOS directly from iTunes, but if you do encounter problems, the first step would be to completely reinstall iTunes and try restoring again.
If this hasn't worked, and the error persists, try the procedure in the video tutorial to restore using tiny umbrella.
If you still can't restore, you should try a different computer and attempt the restore on a different iTunes installation.
