Hello iPhone user, the rumors are over, here's a review of the Apple event. If you want to know all the details, keep reading. Good news for iOS 4.3 unlockers: March 11th.
iPad 2
As expected, the iPad 2 will be available in the USA on March 11th, with new features, a thinner design, and iOS 4.3. Here's what's most important from today's Apple event.
- New design, 33% thinner, more practical and comfortable to hold, improving the browsing experience both online and in apps. Also available in two colors: Black and White.
- Dual-Core A5 chip, twice as fast as the previous model.
- Battery lasts for 10 hours of continuous music playback.
- Front and rear cameras, just like on the iPhone & iPod Touch 4. Record in HD and edit your photos with PhotoBoot.
- Facetime is now available on iPad, with a sharper image.
- 9x Accelerated Graphics & Gyroscope.
- Garage Band & iMovie are coming to iPad.
- SmartCover: Protective screen covers in 10 different colors, which can also serve as a stand for iPad 2. The SmartCover fits perfectly and is removable.
But nothing is complete without the correct iOS update, which is why the release of iOS 4.3 is being announced.
iOS 4.3
The free iOS update will be compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The following improvements are included in this software:
- Improvements for Airplay, you can now stream video from your photos or camera roll app.
- Nitro JavaScript that improves browsing performance in Safari, with multitouch gestures.
- iTunes Home Sharing lets you play your entire iTunes library via Wi-Fi.
- For the iPad, choose whether you want the side switch to be for muting or for locking screen rotation.
- Hotspot for the iPhone 4 that allows you to use your phone's 3G network or data plan to share the internet with any devices you like, via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB.
ALL NEW TOOLS AND DEVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE UNITED STATES ON MARCH 11.
