The iPad 4 already has its jailbreak

Hackers @Chpwn and @Phoenixdev have given us this good news, but for now this software- level jailbreak is only being distributed to developers , and everything points to Apple releasing a major update to iOS 6 , possibly iOS 6.1, since, being a software vulnerability, this bug that allows the jailbreak can be easily patched by Apple with an iOS update.

The new iPads have already been jailbroken in the same way as the iPhone 5 , although this jailbreak is via software, there is no news about a possible release of a tool for end users to jailbreak the new Apple mobile devices.

Remember that a Tethered Jailbreak can only be performed on iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1 using Redsn0w , which is only compatible with:

iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPod Touch 4G,

And the jailbreak for the new iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads will not be released for now.
