Everything indicates that the iPad Pro is getting closer. This is great news for Apple tablet enthusiasts who want to use it professionally, as it will perfectly suit their needs. The problem is that Cupertino would discontinue the iPad Mini because it would be unnecessary given the size of the iPhone 6 Plus (5,5") and the larger iPads (9,7") and probably the 12" model).

Rumors about the iPad Pro continue to grow, as they have throughout July and previous months. The new 12-inch tablet that Apple may unveil could arrive before 2016, and all indications are that it will be aimed at professionals who want a companion device for working with their computers.

Goodbye to the iPad Mini?

It's likely that the iPad Mini won't get a new version . Remember that with the arrival of the 12-inch iPad Pro, only the 9,7-inch iPad Air and the 7,9-inch iPad Mini would remain. The latter would be overshadowed by the iPhone 6 Plus, which has a 5,5-inch screen. While there's a significant difference in screen size, it seems that its continued production would no longer make sense , or at least that's what Apple believes according to this new rumor.

As an iPad Mini user, this new information seems a bit disappointing to me, since it's a different device from other iPads. It's the perfect size, which makes it very lightweight. It's small enough to carry around, yet large enough to consume and create multimedia.

iPad Air 2 delay

Another device that might not see the light of day, but only for a while, is the iPad Air 2. The refresh of Apple's tablet would delay its release so as not to overshadow the likely iPad Pro . Its arrival would be sometime in 2016.
