Google will soon remove QuickOffice from the App Store

The news arrives that Google think Remove your QuickOffice app from the App Store Soon. Updates will cease, rendering the app obsolete compared to newer iOS updates, but current users will be able to continue enjoying it. New users attempting to download it won't even see it.

This is how we learned that Google will be removing QuickOffice from Apple's official iOS App Store. This move coincides with a Google update that integrates new components such as Google Sheets , Google Docs , and Slides.

 

The news of QuickOffice's demise may be due to the fact that it was designed to give iOS users the option to read Microsoft Office documents.

With the appearance of Apple's iWork Suite, the app became somewhat useless, so it had to also integrate Google Drive's cloud storage system.

Now that it allowed users to open and modify files such as spreadsheets or text documents, the app has disappeared from the App Store . Many will think that they may have grown tired of Google, the creator of the Android OS , having apps hosted in the store of its competitor, Apple.

Why this sudden disappearance?

In my opinion, this is pure marketing on Google's part , as they're trying to discredit iOS file management by making the app exclusive to Android users . Many of the affected users, who used the app daily to store their photos or even work files, may have to look for alternatives to QuickOffice , but I don't think they'll find many in the App Store that integrate as seamlessly with Google Drive as QuickOffice did.
