iOS 4.3 for iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad, coming soon

Hello iPhone user, we were just getting used to iOS 4.2.1, and Apple says iOS 4.3 is coming soon. Keep reading to find out about the new features this update will include.
- FaceTime debuts a new and absurdly hideous icon and is presented as a standalone app on the home screen.
- Full-screen iAd ads on the iPad to remind us of the days when we watched movies and TV shows with commercial breaks.
- New four- or five-finger multitouch gestures on the iPad allow you to bring up the multitasking bar with background apps by swiping up, or switch between apps by swiping left or right. Apple has asked developers to test how their apps behave with this preview of the new gestures before their public release.
- Real-time HTTP Streaming Statistics so developers can know at all times the performance of their video channels (the number of people who are following them, for how long and all kinds of metrics such as bitrate or number of lost frames) and optimize the content for their users.
- AirPlay is opening up to third-party applications, although currently limited to video playback and viewing web pages through the new Apple TV.
- As we anticipated a few hours ago, version 4.3 will include the Personal Hotspot feature to turn our iPhone into a WiFi router and share its connection with up to five other devices (including the WiFi iPad, for example), but enabling this option will depend on each carrier.
- Another new feature in the preferences is the ability to choose the behavior of the mute switch on the iPad so that it performs its original function or locks the orientation.
