iOS 8 continues to grow and is now at 81% of the market

After more than 7 months on the market, the latest version of iOS continues to grow and reach more devices and users who keep updating their firmware version , but above all the release of the Apple Watch has helped a little.

Earlier this month, Apple's report confirmed that 79% of users were on iOS 8 and that it was continuing with a marked trend of 2 points each month, so now the figure has increased to 81% adoption.

The data published by Apple clearly shows that users who were previously on older versions continue to update their devices for various reasons, and one of them may be due to purchasing the Apple Watch, especially since it requires users to have iOS 8.2 or later on their iPhones.

iOS 8 has included a number of useful and interesting features, even in its latest version, such as the popular emojis , a preview of Apple's latest music player , and its payment system, Apple Pay , which is now closer to reaching more countries.

iOS 7 has obviously seen a drop in its market share compared to the beginning of the month, falling to 17% this time, while iOS 6 versions account for just 2%. For now, the company has released more iOS betas to the public and developers , but it is during WWDC that the future of OS X and iOS could be revealed.
