As we know, Facebook is the world's largest social network, with over a billion active users, but developers have paid more attention to its large number of mobile users. Updates to both the official iOS and Android apps have brought greater stability and a better browsing experience. This time, Facebook is focusing on improving the photo upload experience on iOS devices by testing the Photo Sync feature, which borrows many ideas from the previously developed Android functionality.

 Facebook offers the ability to chat, update statuses, post comments, and more, as well as install and interact with dedicated Facebook apps, but photos have always been, and continue to be, the heart of the network. Users of this social network uploaded more than 250 million photos every day, according to a report published last year, demonstrating the importance of visual media to the company and its user base. This new feature, Photo Sync, is designed to enhance the upload experience for iOS mobile users.

For those lucky enough to participate in the initial test, the Photo Sync feature is activated by selecting the "Photos" app within the Facebook app for iOS, and it will be located at the bottom of the interface. If your Facebook account has been selected to use this feature on an iOS device, you will see an option to enable Photo Sync. The new mobile feature works the same way as the Android version or the Google+ feature: instant upload, where you drag all the photos taken with your device to an unpublished album on your Facebook account. The idea is that posting the images will be much easier because they are already hosted on Facebook's servers.

Given that Facebook photos are a crucial part of its network, and one of the main reasons users not only spend so much time on the site but also stay logged in for longer periods, this could be a vital service. However, whether or not users want all their images automatically sent to Facebook is a completely different story. The debate continues with Facebook's Photo Sync. It's currently unknown whether this service will eventually be rolled out to all iOS users.
