Apple announces Mac Pro that will be available in December
Today, along with many other announcements made at the event, Apple revealed the technical details and price of its upcoming Mac Pro.
"The new Mac Pro is our vision for the future of the pro desktop. The result is a professional desktop with unprecedented performance. As far as we can tell, everything about it has been reinvented, and nothing like this has ever been seen before," said Philip Schiller.
During the event, Apple noted that more than 2.000 people in 20 different states are involved in the development and assembly of the new Mac Pro.
Details were also showcased, such as the innovative, thermally efficient, and unified design of the device. It was revealed that the Mac Pro 's cylindrical design , in addition to enclosing all the system components within its compact form, will feature the latest Intel Xeon processors with up to 12 cores and dual GPUs, six Thunderbolt 2 ports, PCIe- based flash storage with ECC memory , and USB 3.0.
The Mac Pro will be available in December of this year, with prices starting at $2.999 (the base model with a 3,7GHz quad-core processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD). It's worth noting that this is Apple 's first computer in many years that aims to revolutionize conventional systems.
