Apple wants you to have more friends saved in iCloud.

Apple has changed the iCloud limits when it comes to storing information, so you now have space for… 50 contacts ? That's right, and it's perhaps a bit of a stretch for regular users, especially since the previous limit was 25 contacts and now the allowed amount has been doubled.

What would you do with 50 contacts saved in your iCloud storage ? Or better yet, who would even be able to reach that limit, or even surpass a thousand, say?

All contacts—which can also be saved in the native app—can be synced with any iDevice as well as Mac or Windows computers . Now supporting up to 50 users per account, likely aimed at corporate users, the maximum size for each contact card is 256kb , 224kb for a contact photo, and 256kb for a group of contacts.

All things considered, for those of us with a small contact list, this change won't affect our lists at all; at least I can't imagine having 2000 contacts on my phone . What users in general would have appreciated is an increase in storage space for more data, such as images or any other truly useful content.
