Miitomo: Nintendo's first game for smartphones

Nintendo has just announced the official launch of its first mobile app. Titled Miitomo , it's an engaging game themed around the Mii universe , allowing users to create their own Mii avatars to share with friends.

As specified, Miitomo will be free-to-play with in-app purchases and is expected to arrive around March 2016. Furthermore, continuing with the announcements for next year, Nintendo has confirmed that they will be releasing four more smartphone games soon, but these are not expected until March 2017.

However, continuing with the features that the new Nintendo game will bring , it is said that Miitomo will allow users to design their own Miis ( virtual avatars that first appeared on the original Wii console ). These avatars will be personalized and will allow them to ask and answer questions, share common tastes and preferences; all with the sole purpose of creating and discovering different aspects of their friends within a community.

Nintendo states that the arrival of Miitomo: “Will allow and help shy people and those who have difficulty communicating with others to find, through this application, a friendly way to start conversations with other people.”

Finally, Nintendo clarified that Miitomo is more than just a "game"; the application's interface will focus on the social interaction of all its users and followers for years to come. As we mentioned, the application will store information about ourselves and others, which can be voluntarily shared by each user within the Mii community.
