The game involves launching "Mooniac" characters, who will land, bounce, and slide across trampolines through each level to collect "Cutiesy Floats," in-game coins called "JujuBees." Each level is vertically oriented, and the Mooniacs start at the bottom of the screen in a bubble. The bubble's position will gradually change, pulling the character down until they are freed. One of the best features of Mooniacs is seeing how each Mooniac reacts differently to the environment and obstacles in each stage. Each one has unique physical properties; some are light and bouncy, while others are heavy.
