by riverway / December 15, 2010 12:02 AM EST

Hello iPhone users!

In this post I will give a brief overview of multitasking.

Soon one about wallpapers and Cydia add-ons.

Using a stopwatch and my iPod touch, I made these calculations.

THE NUMBERS SHOWN ARE AVERAGES OF A MINIMUM OF 3 CALCULATIONS.

Device Used

  • iPod Touch 2nd gen 8gb MC 2 months and 4 days of use.
  • Firmware 4.1 Jailbroken with Greenpoison.
  • I always start the RAM memory at 60 MB to perform the test.
  • Everything is measured in SECONDS.
  • With = Multitask Enabled
  • No = Multitask Off

Music :

  • With 2,18s
  • Without 2,20s

Notes:

  • With 1,20s
  • Without 2,90s

Safari:

  • With 1,22s
  • Without 1,35s

With Settings open, I open:

  • Music 2,20s
  • Notes 1,42s
  • Safari 1,31s

With Settings and Music open, I open:

  • Notes 1.29s
  • Safari 1,25s

With Music, Notes and Safari open, I open:

  • Settings 1,81s

I open Gangstar:

  • With 33,75s
  • Without 32.65s

With Music, Notes, Safari, and Settings open, I open:
Gangstar 29,78s (BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT'S FASTER WITH IT OPENED. I DID IT AFTER OPENING IT 4 TIMES, AN AVERAGE, IT NEVER GOES OVER 31S!!)
With Music, Notes, Safari, Settings, Facebook, and MSN open, I open:
Gangstar 32,88 | MSN and Facebook closed when opening Gangstar. RAM was set to 14MB before opening Gangstar.

Thank you for reading this review.
