The new large-screen iPhone wouldn't qualify as an iPhone

A new report from Taiwan's Economic Daily News claims that Apple will release a 4,7-inch and a 5,6-inch smartphone. However, the 5,6-inch phone will not be marketed as an " iPhone ."

This major controversy arises after speculation arose that Apple is developing a larger-screen iPhone , whose surface would be made of sapphire crystal by GT.

However, in order to meet market demand for large screens , we believe that Apple does plan to release a large-screen device , but that these experimental models will not be called, or at least would not be referred to as, iPhones.

While the report lacks evidence, it's highly likely that Apple considers a 5,6-inch device too large to be classified as an iPhone. The new devices are expected to be unveiled for the first time in the third quarter of 2014.
