Oculus Rift: iPhoneate at Campus Party 2014

We were at Campus Party 2014, and we started testing the famous Oculus Rift.

The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset; could this be the future of entertainment?

 

 

Like many projects today, Oculus Rift started on Kickstarter, and quickly became one of the technological gadgets that every video game lover wants to own.

It is still under development at this time; a final product is not yet available.

 

 

How does it work? Well, the Oculus has motion sensors that it transmits to the game or program, and this, along with a screen and glasses very close to the eyes, gives the sensation that we are seeing a totally virtual world; we can turn our head and look at whatever we want.

 

 

Given the great acceptance of this technology among gamers, companies like SONY are already working on their own version of the device.

 

Undoubtedly, this type of entertainment will one day be found in many homes; for now, we can only wait for the future to become our present once again.
