Hello iPhone users! How many times have we forgotten our iPod/iPhone passcode and had to restore it? Well, here's a solution that doesn't involve restoring. For Mac and PC.
Requirements:
- Having a jailbroken iPhone, if you don't know how: https://iphoneate.com/jailbreak-3-1-2-iphone-ipod-touch-en-mac-windows/
- Having Winscp: https://iphoneate.com/video-tutorialcomo-utilizar-winscp-ipodiphone/
- and/or iFunbox, if you don't know how https://iphoneate.com/iusb-tunnel-openssh-sin-wifi/
Steps to follow:
1.- We access the following route via SSH: private/var/mobile/Library/preferences
2. We delete the file “com.apple.springboard.plist”
And that's it! Problem solved without restoring!
NOTE: Doing this will rearrange the icons on your iPod/iPhone, but it's better than restoring.
