PopSearch adds new search options

Ryan Petrich's Actions Menu is such a classic jailbreak tweak that many developers continue to create add-ons for it years after its release. Now, PopSearch has released an add-on that offers new search options for this classic tweak.

PopSearch allows users to highlight specific text and quickly search for it using a floating menu. The search engines are Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, and Bing. Settings can be configured in the Action menu. You can watch this PopSearch demo video to see how it works.

After installing PopSearch, there isn't actually much to configure. Although PopSearch places a preferences panel in the application settings, it doesn't contain the actual configuration options.

The Action menu preferences will inherit a search toggle, but it's enabled by default after installation. Even so, it's probably a good idea to check the Action menu preferences to make sure everything is set up as you want it.

Tapping the search + button will open a pop-up window with the four search options mentioned above. Tapping any of the options will load a sheet containing the page associated with the search.

There are some drawbacks to its use; there are no navigation buttons , so you can only view the search results. There is a "Done" button in the upper right corner, but this button only takes you back.

On the other hand, I should also mention that the real problem with PopSearch is that it adds an intrusive ad to the search results, located at the bottom of the screen. In addition, the Amazon search results are in Chinese, and finally, one of the disadvantages of this tweak is that there's no way to remove the search results.
