Many iPhone 4S users have experienced Wi-Fi problems after updating their device to iOS 7. Overheating of the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth controller appears to be the cause of the issue.
According to complaints, the connection button turns gray, making it impossible to activate the phone's Wi-Fi. Other users also report Bluetooth connectivity issues , consistent with a fault in the component that controls both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
We'll see if Apple fixes this bug in iOS 7.0.3.
