RedSn0w 0.9.8b7 Jailbreak Tethered iOS 5 beta 6
Hello iPhone users, The iPhone Dev Team has updated the tool Redsn0w, it allows you to perform the Tethered type jailbreak to the sixth beta SDK of iOS 5.
This jailbreak can be performed using the Redsn0w 0.9.8b7 tool , although it is a tethered jailbreak, it is recommended that you use it at your own risk, as it can seriously damage your device.
Redsn0w 0.9.8b7 adds support for Tethered Jailbreak of iOS 4.3.5 ( iPhone GSM ) or iOS 4.2.10 (iPhone 4 CDMA).
iOS 5 beta 5 can only be downloaded from Apple's official servers if you are a registered developer, although you can download it from different websites or torrents, it is not recommended to use it since this firmware has a new security method that does not allow downgrading to earlier versions of iOS 5.
MuscleNerd, via Twitter, informs us that this version of Redsn0w is available for developers and not for users who use their iOS device on a daily basis.
This jailbreak is possible thanks to the Limera1n exploit discovered by GeoHot , the first hacker to be able to unlock an iPhone to be used with any mobile phone carrier.
Devices supported by Redsn0w 0.9.8b7:
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4 (GSM) (CDMA)
