Record brain activity with PLX XWave

Hello iPhone enthusiasts, among other new products, a new accessory has been released for the iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad. It's an accessory that works in conjunction with an application called PLX XWave, which allows you to view brain activity summarized in a series of interactive graphs.

This accessory works with a device placed on the head that captures brain activity and sends the data to an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. But it's worth asking: does this software offer a medical service or is it simply for entertainment? According to information published by the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo," XWave's software displays brain activity through interactive graphs and results that change in real time.

The head-mounted device connects via the audio input and instantly sends data that the app processes for the user to view. The XWave app is free, but the device needed to measure brain signals costs $99.99. The app isn't so much a scientific instrument as it is useful as an indicator.
