How do I get my screen working again? iPhone 4s

Hi, I have an iPhone 5 that I replaced the screen on, and now the touchscreen doesn't work at all. It still has iOS 7, and there's a black bar at the bottom that varies depending on the phone's angle. This makes me think the problem is with the motherboard. I haven't updated yet... I can't use the phone. Please help!
