Gray Wifi with iPhone 5 ios 7.1.2

Hi, I have a problem with my iPhone 5. It won't connect to Wi-Fi. I've already tried the hairdryer trick, reset the settings, and nothing has worked…
Any solution? It has iOS 7.1.2. If I wait for iOS 8, will there be any way to get the Wi-Fi chip working or reactivated?
