Summary of the changes introduced to the icons in iOS 7

Once again we're talking about iOS 7. Today I'm bringing you a summary of all the changes they've introduced to the iOS 7 icons compared to iOS 6. The changes are endless in this new version of iOS 7, including color palettes, ranges, icons, fonts, gradients, transparencies, animations, and much more.

 

To understand the extent of the changes, there's nothing better than to review different system icons in a detailed , pixel-perfect way and compare them with the current iOS 6 version.

 

Below are images detailing the differences, which range from making the icons smaller and even changing the margin or space between some of their internal lines, as is the case with the Wi-Fi signal icon.

 

The level of detail achieved is almost absurd, as it is imperceptible to the naked eye; the screen rotation lock icon has had its line thickness reduced by 1px to make it slimmer.

 

 

 

The clock icon's change is quite evident, both in the range of colors and in the typography and thickness of the hands.

 

 

The iMessage app rounds its icon, the white inner shape, and adapts the exterior to the new color palette with gradients and no backgrounds.

 

 

The battery icon seems to get longer , perhaps to give the impression of having more charge; all the icons round their corners more, going from a radius of 20px to 26px.

 

 

 

The home screen and its dock accommodate larger icons with less separation between them.

 

 

Finally, we need to talk about the Maps icon that modifies the location of its representation on the real map a few meters further to the right but close to the Cupertino campus.

 

  

There are many changes in iOS 7 , some more noticeable than others, but all come together to form the new interface of the most advanced mobile operating system in the world, according to Apple, of course.
