Rumor: iPhone 5 to be released in September, iPad 3 in November

New rumors are emerging from China, adding some new details to the already vague speculation about the release date of the upcoming iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S) and iPad 3. Apparently, companies in the production chain involved in manufacturing all the iPhone 5 components... They have received an order to manufacture 400.000 units of the next iPhone with the aim of testing both the suppliers and their manufacturing capacity as well as the devices themselves.

These same companies have confirmed to the China Times that the iPhone 5 will launch in the second week of September , specifically between September 5th and 11th. Apple is expected to have a substantial four million units available by then to immediately fulfill customer orders and meet the high initial demand.

There's no news, naturally, about the official launch date for this new model. If the rumor is true, the keynote would likely take place a little before its release. But as the title suggests, we don't just want to talk about the iPhone 5, but also the iPad 3, since the alleged leaks also provide dates for this new tablet.

According to the Chinese newspaper, the iPad 3 should have been released around the same time as the iPhone 5, but various issues related to servicing certain parts of the latter forced the company to delay its launch until November, closer to the American Thanksgiving holiday, which this year falls on November 24.

As always, the renewed talk of an iPad 3 will surprise many of our readers, since Steve Jobs called 2011 the year of the iPad 2. Even so, let's not forget that several sources are already predicting another tablet model this year (whether more or less expensive than the current one). Is it time to start believing these reports?
