Rumor of the week: New iPod Touch

Something curious has started circulating online. It concerns one of Apple's products that, after its release, is rarely mentioned except by App Store applications when they list its compatibility: the iPod Touch.

Although the current focus is on the Apple Watch and the upcoming iPhone model, AppleInsider reports that the Cupertino company also plans to release a new iPod Touch update this year.

Details about this new iPod model are still unclear, but it's believed it could be ready when the new streaming service finally launches, which all indications suggest could be when the new version of iOS is officially released, currently in its first beta.

The source claims that Apple will maintain the same screen dimensions. Regarding the processor, it's only known that it will be based on a 64-bit architecture . Furthermore, its storage capacity will also be significantly increased to at least 128GB.

What's strange about its return is that Apple has relegated it to a secondary role , simply to keep it in their lineup , and as we've noticed, they haven't bothered to report its sales.

There is no doubt that the capabilities of what was the iPod Touch were overshadowed by the musical features of the iPhone.
